CAPITAL REDUCTION DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE SHF SHARE INSTALMENT

Notice is hereby given of the capital reduction distribution amount payable for STEINHOFF INTERNTL
HLDGS and that as a result of the capital reduction distribution relating to STEINHOFF INTERNTL
HLDGS (SHF) the Trustees of the Share Instalment Trust have declared a distribution amount of 80
cents per SHFNII share instalment that is payable on Monday, 03 December 2012. The final payment
will be rounded to two decimal places.

The last day to trade cum capital reduction distribution is Friday, 23 November 2012. The Share
Instalment will commence trading ex capital reduction distribution from Monday, 26 November
2012. The record date will be Friday, 30 November 2012.
