NOTIFICATION OF AMENDMENTS OF A MANIFEST ERROR IN THE FRC523 APPLICABLE
PRICING SUPPLEMENT

FRB hereby gives notice to the FRC523 noteholders, in accordance with the terms and conditions of
the note programme, as amended from time to time, and in accordance with paragraph 6.56(a) of the
JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements, of the following manifest error in the applicable pricing
supplement (APS):
    - Reference to "bond notional amounts" under line item (r) under "floating payment" and line item
      (c) under "terms relating to cash settlement" have been amended to R 598 393 982.00; and
    - Reference to "cash settlement amount" under line item (e) under "terms relating to cash
      settlement" has been amended to floating rate payer calculation amount x final price.
