NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING AND UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT

Shareholders are hereby updated as follows:

The financial information for the years ended 31 December 2010, 2011 and 2012 will be issued on or
before 31 March 2013.

It is proposed that a shareholders meeting will be held on 07 November 2012 whereat the
appointment of chairperson, deputy chairperson and the directors presently appointed will be ratified
and the auditors to be re-appointed. All shareholders will be free to address any concerns that they
may have regarding the status of the Company.

The Board of directors undertook to the JSE Limited of its intention to apply for the reinstatement of
the listing of the Company once the above matters have been addressed and resolved. It is the
Board’s intention to ensure that the Company remains listed.
