Appointment of Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Interim CEO and Company Secretary


Resource Generation Limited (Company) (ASX: RES) is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr Denis Gately as Chairman and Mr Lulamile Xate as Deputy Chairman of the Company.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert Lowe as interim CEO of
the Company and Mr Michael Meintjes as Company Secretary, both effective immediately.

Mr Lowe is the CEO of Altius Investment Holdings and a Director of Shinto Torii, a significant
shareholder in the Company, and has been assisting the Company with finding a debt funding
solution to progress the Boikarabelo Mine and is chairman of the club of potential financiers
disclosed by the Company to the market on 26 February 2015.

Mr Lowe’s familiarity with the affairs of the Company and relationship with key shareholders and
stakeholders make him well placed as interim CEO to efficiently manage the transition period
following the recent overhaul of the Board. Mr Lowe’s role will include:

1      maintaining relationships with key shareholders and stakeholders in the Company;

2      facilitating the introduction of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman to these relationships in
       South Africa;

3      progress the development of the Boikarabelo Mine;

4      assisting with the delivery of a debt funding solution for consideration by the Board; and

5      at the appropriate time facilitating the recruitment of executives for consideration and
       appointment by the Board.

Mr Lowe replaces Mr Paul Jury, who has resigned from his role as CEO following his removal as a
director of the Company. The terms of Mr Lowe’s appointment as interim CEO are still being
finalised and will be announced to the market in due course.

Mr Meintjes replaces Mr Stephen Matthews as company secretary, who resigned as company
secretary on 26 November 2015. Mr Meintjes is an experienced Company Secretary and finance
professional with extensive experience in the resources sector.
