NOTICE OF AVAILIBILITY OF INTERIM FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Eskom hereby notifies its debt investors that it has publicly released its unaudited interim
financial statements for the six months ended 30 September 2022 (“Interim Financial
Statements”).

As indicated in the annual financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2022, various
restatements to the prior year ended 31 March 2021 were effected. Similarly, the Interim
Financial Statements contain restatements to the prior six months ended
30 September 2021 as a result of a change to IAS 16 as well as prior period errors relating
to:

1.    property, plant and equipment and intangible assets;
2.    future fuel supplies and provisions;
3.    inventories;
4.    deferred tax;
5.    derivatives held for risk management;
6.    embedded derivatives and payment received in advance, contract liabilities and
      deferred income;
7.    payments made in advance; and
8.    trade and other receivables.

Full details of the restatements are set out in note 18 of the Interim Financial Statements.

The Interim Financial Statements are available on the Eskom website at
https://www.eskom.co.za/investors/integrated-results/ and for inspection at Eskom’s
registered office at 1 Maxwell Drive, Megawatt Park, Sunninghill, Johannesburg, 2000.

APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Eskom also notifies the market that Martin Buys, General Manager Group Finance will act as
Eskom’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with immediate effect and until further notice. Martin
is a seasoned executive who started his career in Eskom in 1987. Over the course of his
almost forty-year career at Eskom, he has held various roles, predominantly within the field
of finance
