VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION OF AFRICAN COPPER PLC

Shareholders are advised that at a meeting of members of ZCI’s subsidiary, African Copper
Plc (“ACU”), held on 31 August 2016, the members of ACU voted in favour of the voluntary
liquidation of ACU and appointed Elizabeth Aird-Brown of the MacDonald Partnership Plc
(“TMP”) as Liquidator (the “Liquidator”).

Shareholders are further advised that at a subsequent meeting of the creditors of ACU, held
on 31 August 2016, the creditors of ACU voted in favour of the appointment of the Liquidator.

The Company will provide updates to stakeholders as and when further information becomes
available.
