DISCLOSURE OF ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES IN MTN GROUP

MTN Group has received a notification of disclosure from Coronation Asset Management (Pty) Ltd
(Coronation) advising that it has acquired a beneficial interest in securities of MTN Group, such that
the total of all beneficial interests held by Coronation (on behalf of their underlying clients) was 4.90%
and is now 5.09% of the issued ordinary share capital of MTN Group.

This disclosure is made in terms of section 122 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, as amended and
Regulation 121 of the Companies Regulations, 2011 and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements.
