NOTIFICATION OF PUBLICATION OF 2020 UNAUDITED INTERIM REPORTS
In terms of the Debt Listings Requirements, holders are advised
that the unaudited interim report for the six month period,
ended 30 June 2020 (“interim report”), for the Issuer is
available from the JSE (www.jse.co.za) and for inspection at the
Issuer’s registered office. The Guarantor’s (Anglo American Plc)
unaudited half year financial report for the six months ended 30
June 2020 is available on the Guarantor’s website at the
following link: www.angloamerican.com.
Further to the announcement relating to the availability of the
Issuer’s interim report, holders are advised that the 31
December 2019 Annual Financial Statements (“2019 AFS”) and the
interim report contain a restatement in the Cash flow statement
relating to the December 2018 and June 2019 comparative
information.
The restatement was due to loans to group companies and deposits
from group companies being reclassified as ‘Net cash flows (used
in)/from operating activities’. These were previously classified
as ‘Net cash inflows from investing activities’ and ‘Net cash
from/ (used in) financing activities’.
It should be noted that there is no impact on the total cash and
cash equivalents at the end of the period, the Income Statement
or the Balance Sheet.
Full details of the restatement are set out in the Cashflow
statement in the interim report and 2019 AFS.
