CONVERTIBLE PREFERENCE SHARES (“PREFERENCE SHARES”)
DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDEND NUMBER 15
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, 01 October 2013, Netcare Limited declared a
preference dividend (Number 15) of 351.58562 cents (gross) per preference share for the
period from 1 April 2013 to 30 September 2013, payable on Monday, 04 November 2013 to
holders of the preference shares recorded in the books of the Company at close of business
on Friday, 1 November 2013. The preference dividend has been declared out of income
reserves.
In compliance with the requirements of Strate, the following dates are applicable:
Last date to trade “cum” the preference dividend (“LDT”) : Friday, 25 October 2013
Date trading commences “ex” the preference dividend : Monday, 28 October 2013
Record date : Friday, 1 November 2013
Date of payment : Monday, 4 November 2013
Preference share certificates may not be dematerialised nor rematerialised between
Monday, 28 October 2013 and Friday, 1 November 2013, both dates inclusive.
In terms of the Dividends Tax, the following additional information is disclosed:
1. The local Dividend Tax rate is 15%;
2. No STC credits have been utilised in respect of this preference dividend declaration;
3. The net local dividend amount is 298.84778 cents per share for shareholders liable to
pay the Dividends Tax and 351.58562 cents per share for shareholders exempt from
paying the Dividends Tax;
4. The issued preference share capital of Netcare is 6 500 000 preference shares; and
5. Netcare’s tax reference number is 9999/581/71/4.
