RAND WATER
Rand Water is established in terms of the Water Services Act, 1997 (the “Act”). Through the
Department of Water and Sanitation and duly represented by the Minister of Water and
Sanitation, the Government of the Republic of South Africa is the sole shareholder of Rand
Water. In terms of the Act, Rand Water's primary activity is the provision of bulk water supply
services (potable bulk water and sanitation services) within its service area.

Changes to the Board Members: Rand Water



In accordance with paragraphs 6.39 and 6.40 of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, bondholders are hereby advised of the following changes to the Board with effect from
21 September 2022.


The term of office for the following Board Members has ended with effect from 19 September
2022 after serving their full term as Board Members:

Mr Ramateu Monyokolo has been reappointed as the independent non-executive Board
Member and Chairperson of the Board with effect from 21 September 2022 to ensure that there
is continuity and retention of knowledge.


The following Members have been appointed as the new independent Board Members with
effect from 21 September 2022 in line with the Water Services Act, 1997 and as appointed from
time to time by the Minister of Water and Sanitation:

Rand Water welcomes the new Board Members and look forward to their contributions to the
organisation. Further, Rand Water extends its thanks to the outgoing Board Members for their
invaluable contribution and serving Rand Water with excellence over the years that included an
unprecedented period led by the pandemic, and wishes them well in their future endeavours.


The changes to the Board Committees, including reconfiguration of the Committees will be
announced when the information becomes available.
