Operational update on COVID-19 and the impact on Wearne

Wearne supports the measures that the South African government has implemented to
contain the COVID-19 virus.

The lockdown has caused a complete shutdown of the construction industry and no trading is
taking place. It may have dire consequences for most construction companies and its
employees. The majority of Wearne employees has been given short time notices and Wearne
is applying for available relief schemes from the Government to try and assist employees
during this period.

While the effects of the COVID-19 virus on our business are continually being reassessed, the
full impact of the 21-day nationwide lockdown announced on 23 March 2020 remains
unknown.

Shareholders will be kept up to date on the impact of COVID-19.
