FURTHER UPDATE ON THE DELAY IN AVAILABILITY OF THE ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE
YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2025
Bondholders are referred to the announcement released on 29 January 2026, wherein the City of Cape
Town Metropolitan Municipality ("the City") advised that the audited annual financial statements for the
year ended 30 June 2025 ("AFS"), which were due for publication on 31 January 2026, would not be
available by the prescribed date.
The City hereby advises that it has since received correspondence from the Office of the Auditor-General of
South Africa indicating that additional time is required to conclude certain technical and complex audit
matters. A tentative date for receipt of the audit report by the City Manager was communicated by the
Auditor General's office to be 26 February 2026, however due to the ongoing process, the audit report has
not yet been finalised. These matters are compliance-related and have no impact on the financial results of
the City.
The AFS are expected to be tabled by the Executive Mayor at a special Council meeting immediately after
receipt of the audit report as required by the stipulated legislation, following which the AFS will be released
to the public for comment.
A further announcement will be published in due course to confirm the availability of the City's AFS.
