Declaration of a special dividend No. 2 - payable from income reserves
The board of directors of SABZK (“Board”) is pleased to advise that at a meeting held on 05 June 2023,
the directors approved the declaration of a gross cash dividend from income reserves of 45 cents per
ordinary share based on the dividend income received from Anheuser-Busch InBev (“AB InBev”) in
May 2023.
The special dividend is not subject to exchange control approval by the Financial Surveillance
Department of the South Africa Reserve Bank, as payments will only be made to South African
residents.
The dividend will be subject to a dividend withholding tax of 20% for all shareholders who are not
exempt. Accordingly, for those shareholders not exempt from paying dividend withholding tax, the
net ordinary dividend will be 36 cents per ordinary share.
The issued share capital at the declaration date is 40,550,001 ordinary shares and the Company’s tax
number is 9940363170. The salient dates are as follows:

transferred electronically to the bank accounts of certificated shareholders. Shareholders who hold
dematerialised shares will have their accounts held by the Central Securities Depository Participant or
broker credited on Monday, 26 June 2023.
