INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2020

Shareholders are advised that the Company’s unaudited unreviewed condensed interim financial results
for the six months ended 30 September 2020 were published on SENS on 29 October 2020
(“Full Announcement”).

Financial highlights

The financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2020 when compared to the six months ended
30 September 2019 (“the Comparative Period”), are set out below:

    -   Net asset value per share (ordinary and preference shares) decreased by 34.1% to R19.02 per
        share from R28.88 per share for the Comparative Period.

    -   Headline earnings and basic earnings per share (ordinary and preference shares) decreased by
        327 cents per share from 196 cents per share for the Comparative Period.

    -   Revenue decreased to R1 509 507 from R1 533 668 and net profit before tax decreased to
        (R58 945 555) from R100 165 002 for the Comparative Period.

    -   No dividend has been declared in respect of the current or Comparative Period.
