CLN393


NOTICE IS GIVEN TO ALL HOLDERS OF CLN393 ZAR 40,509,645.55
iTRAXX®   EUROPE   CROSSOVER   SERIES    22   LISTED   NOTE   DUE
20   DECEMBER  2019   (Stock   Code:   CLN393   and  ISIN   Code:
ZAG000120841) (the “Note”) issued in terms of The Standard Bank
of South Africa Limited’s Structured Note Programme (the
“Programme”)) on 24 October 2014.     Capitalised terms used and
not otherwise defined in this announcement have the meaning
given to them in the Pricing Supplement of the Note, as read
with the Programme Memorandum.
Pursuant to the Bankruptcy Credit Event which occurred in
respect of Top Gun Realisations 61 Limited (formerly New Look
Bondco I Limited and formerly New Look Bondco I PLC) (“Top
Gun”), as advised in an announcement dated 6 September 2019, the
Affected Portion (being the Portion relating to Top Gun) will be
amended in the Pricing Supplement as follows:

1.   the Aggregate Nominal Amount will not be amended;

2.   the Nominal Amount of the Affected Portion will not be
     amended;
3.   the Margin of the Affected Portion is amended to: 0.20%; and
4.   the record date is 18 September 2019.
Notice is given to Noteholders for information purposes only.
No action is required by Noteholders.
