JDH - John Daniel Holdings Limited - Trading Update JOHN DANIEL HOLDINGS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration Number 1998/013215/06) Share code: JDH & SIN: ZAE000136677 ("the Group" or "JDH") Trading Update In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are required to publish a trading update as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will be more than 20% different from the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the group results for the year ending 31 December 2009 differ compared to the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that earnings and headline earnings per share are expected to show a decline of 195% if compared to the previous corresponding period assuming the consolidation of the shares had been effected in this period. The differences are mainly attributable to: 1. The effects of the global economic crisis on revenue. 2. The strong South African Rand. 3. Increasing raw material prices. This trading update has not been reviewed or audited by the company`s auditors. The company`s unaudited interim results for the period ending 31 December 2009 are expected to be published on 31 March 2010.
