Ratings Action by S&P Global Ratings

In accordance with 6.28 of the JSE Debt and Specialist Securities Listings
Requirements, noteholders are referred to the credit rating release from S&P Global
Ratings on 1 July 2025 that they have upgraded African Bank Limited's long-term global
scale issuer credit rating to 'B+' from 'B' and affirmed the 'B' short-term global scale
rating. The outlook on the bank is stable. S&P also raised African Bank Limited's. South
Africa national scale ratings to 'zaA/zaA-1'from 'zaA-/zaA-2'.

The rating action follows S&P's view on the South African banking system being in an
expansionary phase and think the risk of economic imbalances has receded since they
expect real estate prices to increase moderately in nominal terms and lending growth to
remain cautious and mainly driven by investments in infrastructure.
