APPOINTMENT OF A DEBT OFFICER

In compliance with the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, debt holders are
advised that Mr Andre Pillay, in his capacity as Group Treasurer, has been appointed as Debt
Officer for Transnet SOC Ltd effective 07 December 2022. Ms Nonkululeko Dlamini has
stepped down from the Debt Officer role, also with effect from 07 December 2022 and will be
focusing her other responsibilities as a Group Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Pillay has occupied the position of Group Treasurer since 1 May 2022. Mr Pillay has
extensive business and financial acumen, and his experience in the debt capital markets will
enable him to discharge his responsibilities in this role. He is responsible for the Transnet
Group Treasury’s activities including the execution of the borrowing programme, liquidity
management and specific financial risk management.

The Board of the Company confirms that it has considered and is satisfied with the
competence, qualifications, and experience of the newly appointed Debt Officer.
