TRADING STATEMENT – 2023 ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
Ibex Investments is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ibex Topco B.V. and is the issuer of variable rate,
cumulative, non-redeemable, non-participating preference shares with a capital value of R1.5
billion. The preference shares are listed on the JSE.
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed company is required
to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain that the financial results
for the next reporting period will differ by more than 20% from those of the previous
corresponding period.
Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the year ended 30 September 2023 by
management has indicated, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that for Ibex Investments:
• earnings per ordinary share is expected to be profit between 29.00 cents and 19.0 cents
compared to a profit of 25 863.6 cents in the previous corresponding period, which
equates to a decrease of 100%; and
• headline earnings per ordinary share is expected to be a profit of between 1 423.0 cents
and 940.0 cents compared to a profit of 26 796.4 cents in the previous corresponding
period, which equates to a decrease of between 95% and 96%.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by Ibex Investments' auditors. Ibex Investments financial results for the year ended
30 September 2023 are expected to be released on SENS on or about 14 December 2023.
