FINALISATION DATE ANNOUNCEMENT: SHARE CONSOLIDATION

Shareholders of Buildmax (Shareholders) are referred to the announcements dated 2 May, 22 August, 25 September, 17 October
and 9 November 2012 pertaining to the restructuring of the authorised and issued share capital of the Company through a 
share consolidation of every 19 ordinary shares ("Shares") in the share capital of Buildmax with a par value of 1 (one) cent 
each into 1 (one) Share with a par value of 19 (nineteen) cents each ("the Share Consolidation").

Shareholders are advised that the special resolution, as approved at the Shareholders meeting held on 16 October 2012 to 
amend the Company's Memorandum of Incorporation to allow for the Share Consolidation, has now been registered by the Companies and 
Intellectual Property Commission.

The new salient dates and times pertaining to the Share Consolidation are set out below:

  Last date to trade in Shares before the Share Consolidation                                              Thursday, 27 December 2012

  Record date to determine those Shareholders whose Shares will be subject to the Share 
  Consolidations (refer note 2 below)                                                                        Friday,  4 January 2013
  Dematerialised Shareholders accounts at CDSPs or brokers updated in respect of the Share Consolidations   Monday,  7 January 2013
  Replacement share certificates posted to certificated Shareholders provided their existing 
  share certificates are surrendered by 12:00 on Friday, 4 January 2013 (otherwise within five 
  business days after receipt of such existing share certificates) on or about                               Monday,  7 January 2013

Notes:
1. All times given are South African local times.
2. Shareholders may not dematerialise or rematerialise their pre-consolidated Shares after Thursday, 27 December 2012.
