FURTHER DISCLOSURES RELATING TO THE DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF TCTA’S
2019/20 ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
TCTA’s SENS announcements of 30 October 2020 (titled: Submission of TCTA’s 2019/20
Annual Report and the Release of the Annual Financial Statements) and 25 November 2020
(titled: Further Clarification – Update on Delay in Submission of TCTA’s 2019/20 Annual
Report and the Release of the Annual Financial Statements) have reference.

The Auditor General has concluded the audit process and an audit report dated 7 December
2020, was submitted to TCTA.

Section 65(1)(a) of the PFMA requires the executive authority to table in the National
Assembly the annual report, financial statements and the audit report within one month after
they have received it, after which it is public documentation. Since the National Assembly has
already gone into recess, the tabling of the annual report, financial statements and the audit
report will only take place after the opening of Parliament in February 2021. Parliament is
expected to seat in mid – February 2021.

A further extension to 28 February 2021 to release TCTA’s Annual Financial Statements was
requested and granted by the JSE.
