CHANGE TO THE BOARD



In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, ZCI shareholders are
advised of the resignation of the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company Mr. Edgar Hamuwele, with effect
from 31 August 2013. The board of ZCI (“the Board”) would like to thank Mr. Hamuwele, for the significant
contribution he has made to the Company since joining the Board, and wishes him well in his future
endeavors.

The Board has commenced the process of appointing a permanent replacement and until further
announcement is made in this regard, Professor Stephen Simukanga, the Lead Independent Director of the
Company, will continue in his role as acting Chairman of the Company as stated in the announcement
published on SENS on 20 June 2013.
