NOTICE OF UPDATE TO THE INFORMATION STATEMENT

Noteholders are advised that the Company has updated the information statement in respect of its
ZA6,000,000,000 Subordinated Term Note Programme (the Information Statement) in compliance with the
JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements. The updates to the Information Statement primarily relate to:

    1.   the amendment of outdated corporate information such as the board of directors of the
         Company; and

    2.   the inclusion and update of certain information required by the JSE Debt Listings Requirements such
         as the composition of the board of directors of the Company, material risks relating to the
         Company’s business as well as its compliance with the King Report on Corporate Governance in
         South Africa, 2016, amongst others.
