RETIREMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of
directors of the Company (“the Board”) hereby advises shareholders that the Chief Executive Officer
of AYO, Mr Howard Plaatjes, having reached retirement age, has elected to exercise his right to retire,
with effect from 13 December 2022.

The Board would like to thank Mr Plaatjes for his valuable contribution to the Company and wishes
him well with his well-earned retirement.

A further announcement on Mr Plaatjes’ successor will be released on SENS in due course.
