UNAUDITED CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2022

AOE is an investment holding company incorporated in South Africa and listed on the JSE
Limited ("JSE") in the "apparel retailers" sector. The company has investments in fashion
retail, property, media and broadcasting and water infrastructure.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

• Revenue increased by 49.4% to R470.8 million (2021: R315.2 million)
• Gross profit margin % decreased to 48.5% (2021: 53.5%)
• Operating profit increased by 177.8% to R106.6 million (2021: R38.4 million)
• Earnings per share increased by 164.4% to 292.9 cents (2021: 110.8 cents)
• Headline earnings per share increased by 149.8% to 293.0 cents (2021: 117.3 cents)
• Net asset value per share increased by 31.0% to R17.23 (2021: R13.16)
• Ordinary dividend per share paid amounted to nil cents (2021: nil cents)
