ACCRUED INTEREST ON THE FRB KRUGERRAND NOTES LISTED ON THE MAIN BOARD

FirstRand Bank Limited wishes to advise noteholders that the interest payable to investors at maturity of the
FRK02 KrugerRand Notes (notes) will be dependent on the ZAR value of the ounce interest as at the
redemption date. As a result of the fluctuations in the USD gold price and the ZAR/USD exchange rate, the ZAR
value of the interest paid at maturity may not equal the sum of the ZAR interest announced annually via the JSE
Limited Stock Exchange News System. FRB further wishes to advise that the interest is calculated in ounces of
gold and as such, for purposes of calculating the annual interest which has accrued on the notes, interest
earned per ounce is converted to a ZAR amount at the end of February in each year. Interest accrued on the
notes for the period 1 March 2022 - 28 February 2023 has amounted to 0.7 ounces per note, which yields an
approximate interest value of ZAR 234.74 per note.

*A Rand gold price of ZAR 33 534.57 per ounce has been applied (as at London close of business on the last
business day of February 2023).
