AMENDMENTS TO SAPPI SA’S INFORMATION STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE ZAR5 000 000 000
DOMESTIC MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAMME

Noteholders are advised that Sappi SA has amended and restated the information statement in
respect of the ZAR5 000 000 000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme (the “Information
Statement”) to update the Information Statement in compliance with the JSE Limited Debt Listings
Requirements.

The amendments to the Information Statement primarily relate to updates of the following sections:

•     Risks relating to Sappi SA’s business;
•     Risks relating to Sappi SA’s industry;
•     Product review; and
•     Governance.
