TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2022

In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the financial results for the
financial period to be reported on next will vary by 20% or more from those of the previous
corresponding period.

Accordingly, shareholders are hereby advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for the
six months ended 28 February 2022 the Group expects to report the following:

•   a basic loss per share (“LPS”) for the six months ending 28 February 2022 of between (31.30) and
    (37.32) cents per share, compared to the LPS of (30.11) cents reported on for the six months
    ended 28 February 2021 representing an increased loss of between 3.95% and 23.95%; and
•   a headline loss per share (“HLPS”) for the six months ended 28 February 2022 of between (33.72)
    and (38.74) cents per share, compared to a HLPS of (25.09) cents per share reported on for the six
    months ended 28 February 2022 representing an increased loss of between 34.40% and 54.40%.

The increase in LPS and HLPS compared to the prior period is primarily as a result of a decrease in
revenue earned by the Group for the six months ended 28 February 2022 due to the disposal of Puleng
Technologies Proprietary Limited, a subsidiary where 100% was previously held and the loss of control
of Global Command and Control Technologies Proprietary Limited due to a change in the board
composition.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported
on by AYO’s auditors.

The Group is in the process of finalising its financial results for the six months ended 28 February 2022,
which are scheduled to be released on SENS on or about 20 May 2022.
