APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the Johannesburg Stock
Exchange, shareholders are advised that Mr Petrus Wilhelmus (Willem) Jooste has been
appointed as a non-executive director on the board of Beige with immediate effect.
Willem holds the Dip. Mech Eng. and GCC Mech Fact. qualifications, as well as a
Management Development Programme certification from Unisa. Having completed his
apprenticeship at the Stilfontein Goudmyn in 1983, he gained extensive experience as an
Engineering Manager across a range of industries prior to joining The Lion Match Company
as the Engineering and Factory Manager in 1992. In 1997, Willem moved abroad, returning
to South Africa and The Lion Match Company in 2000 as the Group Operations Director, a
position he continues to hold. Willem has acted as a consultant to Beige over the past few
months, providing invaluable guidance on improving efficiencies across the group’s plants.
The Beige board of directors welcomes Willem to the Group.
