TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2022
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists
that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial
results for the previous corresponding period.
Nictus shareholders are advised that for the six months ended 30 September 2022, the Group expects
to report:
- a loss per share of between 1.61 cents and 2.21 cents, compared to earnings per share of 3.00
cents for the previous corresponding period; and
- headline loss per share of between 1.74 cents and 2.32 cents, compared to headline earnings
per share of 2.94 cents for the previous corresponding period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported
on by Nictus’ independent auditor and is the responsibility of the directors of the Company (“Directors”).
The financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2022 are expected to be published on
SENS on or about 8 December 2022.
Despite the loss for the period under review, the Directors are of the view that the Company has a
strong capital base to carry the Group during times of uncertainty and adverse economic conditions.
