ANNUAL RESULTS PRESENTATION

In light of the cautionary announcement dated 4 November 2013 relating to the negotiations between
B&W and ELB Group Limited, the board of directors (“the Board”) deems it prudent to cancel the annual
results presentations previously scheduled in Johannesburg on Monday, 18 November 2013 and in Cape
Town on Tuesday, 19 November 2013.

The Board apologises for any inconvenience.

The Group’s financial results for the year ended 31 August 2013 are expected to be released on SENS
and made available on the website (www.bwie.co.za) on 18 November 2013.
