CHANGES TO THE BOARD AND EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
In compliance with the JSE Debt Listings Requirements, noteholders are advised that Dr Sipho Manana
has been released from his position as Acting Chief Executive of uMngeni-uThukela Water as per his
request to the board of directors ("Board") and Mr Tamsanqa Mkhwanazi, the current Chief Financial
Officer, has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive. The aforementioned changes are effective from 7
March 2024.
Following the above, Ms Kajal Singh, being the Manager: Treasury and Financial Planning since December
2005, has been appointed to the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer of uMngeni-uThukela Water with
effect from 7 March 2024 due to Mr Mkhwanazi having been appointed as Acting Chief Executive.
The appointment of Mr Mkhwanazi as Acting Chief Executive has been made in terms of the "Handbook
for the appointment of persons to boards of state and stated controlled institutions."
The Board wishes to thank Dr Manana for his invaluable contribution to the organisation during his acting
period and welcomes Mr Mkhwanazi as he steers the ship for this interim period whilst the Board finalises
the process of recruiting a permanent Chief Executive.
A further announcement in regard to the appointment of a permanent Chief Executive will be made in due
course.
