CHANGE IN DEBT SPONSOR

In terms of section 2.6(b) of the JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements, noteholders are advised that the
three (3) year appointment of Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking, a division of Nedbank Limited
as eThekwini’s debt sponsor has come to an end on 24 January 2023.

Furthermore, eThekwini wishes to advise noteholders that, following a procurement process, the
Municipality has appointed Absa Corporate and Investment Bank, a division of Absa Bank Limited, to serve
as its debt sponsor for a period of 3 years with effect from 24 January 2023.
