MML - Metmar Limited - Trading statement Metmar Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa Registration number: 1998/007269/07 Share code: MML ISIN code: ZAE000078747 ("the Company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied with a reasonable degree of certainty that the financial results of the period to be reported upon will differ by 20% or more from the financial results of the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that the Company`s attributable earnings per share for the year ended 28 February 2010 are expected to decrease by between 8% - 15% over those of the previous corresponding period. Headline earnings per share, including discontinuing operations for the year ended 28 February 2010 are expected to decrease by between 80% - 90% over those of the previous corresponding period. The main contributor to the difference in the percentage decreases between attributable earnings per share and headline earnings per share is the profit from sale of PGR 17 which is included in attributable earnings, but excluded from headline earnings. The major drop in headline earnings is a direct result of the downturn in the global economy which has had a major impact on both demand and prices of commodities, compared to the record levels experienced in the previous corresponding period. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reported on by the Company`s auditors. Shareholders are advised that the results for the year ended 28 February 2010 will be released no later than the end of April 2010. 19 April 2010 Bryanston Sponsor to the Company Barnard Jacobs Mellet Corporate Finance (Proprietary) Limited Date: 19/04/2010 17:31:01 Supplied by www.sharenet.co.za Produced by the JSE SENS Department.
