AMENDMENT TO DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO PLC (“BRITISH
AMERICAN”) HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES – (“BTIIHD”)


The announcement disseminated at 15:41 today, 30 July 2014 in relation to the British American Tobacco Plc
dividend refers. Kindly note that the first paragraph thereof contains an error and is hereby deleted and replaced
with the following paragraph.


“With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of British American have declared a dividend
of 47.5 pence per ordinary share payable on Tuesday, 30 September 2014 to ordinary shareholders
recorded in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 22 August 2014.”

The contents of the rest of the announcement are correct and remain valid.
