In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Nictus shareholders
are advised that Mr JN Campbell has retired from his positions as independent non-executive
director and chairman of the audit committee of the Company, with effect from 22 February 2013.

The Board of Directors of Nictus (“the Board”) is pleased to advise that they are currently in
negotiations with a potential candidate to fulfil the roles of independent non-executive director and
chairman of the audit committee of the Company, further details of which will be announced in due
course.

The Board would like to thank Mr JN Campbell for his valuable contribution to the Company and
wishes him well in his future endeavours.
