UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE INTERIM PERIOD ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2019
Shareholders are referred to the trading statement published on the Stock Exchange News Service of the
JSE Limited on 26 February 2020 and are advised that the board of directors of Ecsponent is reasonably
certain that the financial results for the interim period ended 31 December 2019, when compared with the
published results for the 6 month comparative period ended 31 December 2018 (“Comparative Period”), will
differ as follows:
• earnings per share (“EPS”) is expected to decrease to a loss per share of between 165.400 cents to
165.464 cents, as compared to the EPS of 0.319 cents for the Comparative Period; and
• headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to decrease to a headline loss per share of between
165.808 cents to 165.870 cents, as compared to the HEPS of 0.311 cents for the Comparative Period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by
the Company's external auditors.
