NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Umgeni Water hereby notifies its debt investors that it has publicly released its audited annual
financial statements (“AFS”) for the year ended 30 June 2019 and that the audit report relating to the
AFS is unqualified.

Stakeholders are advised of a restatement in the AFS for the year ended 30 June 2019 (“2019 financial
statements”). Subsequent to the contingent liability as disclosed in the AFS for the year ended 30 June
2018, the mediation process has resulted in the restatement of the AFS for the year ended 30 June
2019. An intangible asset was recognised and a corresponding liability in accounts payable. Full details
are set out in note 33 of the AFS for the year ended 30 June 2019.

The AFS, including the audit report, are available on the Umgeni Water website at
http://www.umgeni.co.za/pdf/ar_2019/UW-AR-2018-2019.pdf and for inspection at Umgeni
Water’s registered office at 310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg, 3201, South Africa.
