CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Grindrod Bank is pleased to announce that Mr Julian Beare has been appointed as independent
non-executive chairman of Grindrod Bank with effect from 1 November 2018. The previous interim
chairman, Mr Mike Hankinson, remains on the board of Grindrod Bank as a non-executive director
and on the board of Grindrod Limited as executive chairman.
