DIVIDEND DECLARATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Holders of Tranche 1 of Class “C1” Equity Linked Floating Rate “C” Preference Shares (“C” Preference
Shares”) are advised that a gross Scheduled “C” Preference Dividend of 555.87671 Rands per “C”
Preference Share for the 7 (seven) month period ending 31 October 2013 has been declared payable to
“C” Preference Shareholders in terms of the Applicable Pricing Supplement dated 20 December 2012.
The Scheduled “C” Preference Dividend has been declared out of profits and is subject to dividend
withholding tax at a rate of 15%. The Company has no secondary tax credits available and consequently
a net Scheduled “C” Preference Dividend of 472.49520 Rands per “C” Preference Share will be
distributed to those holders of “C” Preference Shares who are not exempt from paying dividends tax. The
number of Class “C1” Equity Linked Floating Rate “C” Preference Shares in issue remains unchanged
from 12,500 (twelve thousand five hundred) as at the Issue Date. Macquarie’s tax reference number is
9395/8721/54. The salient dates relating to the payment of the Scheduled “C” Preference Dividend are as
follows:

In accordance with the requirements of Strate Limited, no share certificates may be dematerialised or
