CASH DIVIDEND 
                                                       
 
Shareholders and the public in general are referred to the summarised unaudited financial statements of 
the Company for the quarter and nine months ended 31 March 2023 released on 10 May 2023 on the 
website of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd ("SEM") and the Stock Exchange News Service ("SENS") of 
the Johannesburg Stock Exchange ("JSE") whereby it was also announced that the Board of Directors (the 
"Board") of the Company had approved and declared a cash dividend of 10 GBP pence per share.  
 
Shareholders are hereby informed that the salient dates for the cash dividend are set out below:

 Announcement of GBP to Rand conversion rate released on SENS and                          Tuesday, 23 May
 SEM website on or before 
 Last day to trade cum dividend on the JSE and SEM in order to be eligible                 Tuesday, 30 May 
 for the cash dividend 
 Shares commence trading ex-dividend on the JSE and SEM                                  Wednesday, 31 May
 Record date                                                                                Friday, 2 June
 Payment date                                                                              Tuesday, 6 June
 
Dematerialisation or rematerialisation of share certificates may not take place between Wednesday,  
31 May 2023 and Friday, 2 June 2023 both days inclusive. Transfer of shares between sub-registers in 
Mauritius and South Africa may not take place between Tuesday, 23 May 2023 and Friday, 2 June 2023 
both days inclusive.  
 
Shareholders on the South African sub-register will receive the cash dividend in South African Rand, based 
on the exchange rate to be obtained by the Company on or before Tuesday, 23 May 2023. Shareholders 
on the Mauritian register will receive the cash dividend in GBP. A further announcement in this regard will 
be made on or before Tuesday, 23 May 2023.
 
The cash dividend will be paid out of the Company’s retained earnings.  
 
At the date of this announcement, the issued share capital of the Company is 72,786,163 ordinary shares 
of no par value. 
 
Universal Partners has its primary listing on the Official List of the SEM and a secondary listing on the 
Alternative Exchange of the JSE.
