CHANGE IN DEBT SPONSOR

In terms of section 2.6(b) of the JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements, noteholders are advised that the
three-year appointment of Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking, a division of Nedbank Limited, as
City of Ekurhuleni’s debt sponsor came to an end on 30 June 2021.

Furthermore, City of Ekurhuleni wishes to advise noteholders that, following a procurement process, City of
Ekurhuleni has appointed Absa Corporate and Investment Bank, a division of Absa Bank Limited, to serve
as its debt sponsor for a period of 3 years with effect from 1 July 2021.
