NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Umgeni Water hereby notifies its debt investors that it has publicly released its audited annual
financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2020 (“AFS”) and that the auditor’s report relating to
the AFS prepared by the Auditor-General of South Africa is unqualified.

The AFS contain restatements as a result of prior period errors relating to the years ended 30 June
2019 and 30 June 2018 as follows:

•   Five year long service benefits;
•   Residual values of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets;
•   Provisions; and
•   Allowance for credit losses

Full details of the restatements are set out in note 32 of the AFS.

The AFS, including the auditor’s report, are available on the Umgeni Water website at
https://www.umgeni.co.za/annual-reports/ and for inspection at Umgeni Water’s registered office at
310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg, 3201, South Africa.
