APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Further to the announcement released on SENS on 22 October 2020 regarding the appointment of Mrs
Nomalungelo Mkhize, who was the Chief Financial Officer of Umgeni Water, as Acting Chief Executive,
stakeholders are advised that Ms Kajal Singh has been appointed as Acting Chief Financial Officer of
Umgeni Water with immediate effect and until such time as an appointment for the position of permanent
Chief Executive has been finalised.

Ms Singh has been the Manager : Treasury and Financial Planning of Umgeni Water since December
2005 and the Board has full confidence that she will be able to fulfil the role as Acting Chief Financial
Officer.
