UPDATE ON ANNUAL REPORTING AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

In terms of the JSE Listing Requirements (“LR”) section 3.16, if an issuer has not distributed
annual financial statements to all shareholders within three months of its financial year-end, it
must publish and distribute to all holders of securities provisional annual financial statements
(“provisional report”) within the three months. ZCI had a financial year ending 31 March 2014
with their provisional report due to be published by no later than 30 June 2014.

Shareholders are advised that it is the Company’s expectation that it will not be able to meet
the above mentioned reporting deadline imposed by the JSE Listing Requirements due to
additional time being taken on the review and analysis of the Group’s operating and financial
information. It is expected that the revision will be completed during July 2014 which will
enable the Company to finalise its annual financial statements by no later than 31 July 2014.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s
securities until a further announcement regarding Annual Reporting is made.
