REBALANCING OF THE AMI series BIG 50 EX-SA INDEX
Notice is hereby provided to holders of AMI Big50 ex-SA securities
that the AMI series index – AMI Big50 ex-SA, which the securities
track, has undergone a rebalance which is effective from close of
business on 30 June 2017.
These changes were applied to the securities portfolio on 23 June
2017.
SALIENT DETAILS
- The index has been adjusted to provide constituents in the bottom
percentile with a greater allocation of the index weighting. The
previous index weighting of the bottom 25 constituents was 13.22%
and is now 20%. This adjustment was done with no impact on
tradability of the index.
- Country capping has been introduced at a country level, so that
no country, regardless of number of listings, exceeds 30% of the
index weight. The only impacted country was Morocco, whose
weighting reduced from 35.4% to 29.1%.
- Seven constituents with a combined weighting of 3.7% have been
replaced with constituents with a combined weighting of 3.9%.
- Index changes are due to market movements.
