RESIGNATION OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of
directors of the Company (“the Board”) wishes to advise shareholders that:

   •   Mr Andile Mabizela (“Mr Mabizela”) has resigned as an independent non-executive
       director of the Company, as chairman of the social and ethics committee and member
       of the audit, risk and compliance committee, with effect from 30 June 2023; and

   •   Ms Nomavuso Mnxasana (“Ms Mnxasana”) has resigned as an independent non-
       executive director of the Company, as chairman of the remuneration committee,
       member of the nomination committee and member of the audit, risk and compliance
       committee, with effect from 30 June 2023.

   •   Ms Nonzukiso Siyotula (“Ms Siyotula”) has resigned as the lead independent director
       of the Company, as chairperson of the audit, risk and compliance committee and
       member of the remuneration, nomination and project and investment committees, with
       effect from 30 June 2023,

The Board would like to extend its appreciation to Mr Mabizela, Ms Mnxasana and Ms Siyotula
for their valuable contributions to the Board and wishes them well in their respective future
endeavours.

The Board has commenced a process of identifying suitable replacements and shareholders
will be advised as soon as such appointments have been made and an update to the Board
committees will be communicated once these appointments have been finalised.
