TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF ACQUISITION OF SECURITIES BY STANDARD BANK
GROUP LIMITED(“SBG”)


In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008
and section 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders
are hereby advised that Nampak received formal notification that SBG has
acquired an interest in the ordinary shares of the company, such that the
total interest in the ordinary shares of the company held by SBG now
amounts to 7.69% of the total issued ordinary shares of the company.

The board of Nampak accepts responsibility for the information contained
in this announcement and confirms that, to the best of their knowledge
and belief, such information is true and this announcement does not omit
anything likely to affect the importance of such information included.

Nampak has, as required by section 122(3) of the Companies Act filed the
required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
