APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT ADVISOR TO THE AUDIT COMMITTEE

In accordance with paragraph 6.39 of the JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements,
Transnet SOC Ltd. wishes to notify noteholders that the Board of Directors (the ‘‘Board”)
has appointed Ms Zolisa Zwakala as an independent advisor to the Audit Committee of
Transnet, effective 6 July 2023.

Ms Zolisa Zwakala is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) and a Certified Internal
Auditor (CIA), with both local and international experience. She has served in executive
roles in the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) and National Treasury, amongst
others, having started her career in the private sector. Her vast experience will be
instrumental in guiding and supporting the Audit Committee in delivering on its mandate.

“The Board has appointed Ms Zwakala to support and strengthen the Audit Committee.
We appreciate her availability and willingness to come on board to serve in this capacity
with her skills and experience,” said Dr Popo Molefe.
