EXCHANGE RATE ANNOUNCEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE INTERIM DIVIDEND FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2016
Rockcastle shareholders are referred to the interim dividend declaration announced on Friday, 12 August 2016 and the
notice to shareholders announced on Friday, 19 August 2016 and are advised that shareholders on the South African
share register will receive their cash dividend in South African Rands, converted from US dollars at an exchange rate
of USD1.00:ZAR14.62. Accordingly, the cash dividend of 4.782 US$ cents per share will be equal to 69.91284 ZAR
cents per share.
Shareholders who elect to receive the scrip dividend instead of the cash dividend will be entitled to 1.937 new
Rockcastle shares for every 100 Rockcastle shares held by the shareholder at the record date, being Friday,
9 September 2016.
The information provided in this paragraph is only of direct application to shareholders on the South African share
register. The gross local dividend amount is 69.91284 ZAR cents per share for shareholders exempt from paying
South African dividends tax. The net local dividend amount is 59.42591 ZAR cents per share for shareholders liable to
pay dividends tax at the rate of 15% (currently in place as at the date of this announcement).
There is no withholding tax payable in Mauritius.
The salient dates and times announced on Friday, 19 August 2016 remain unchanged.
Rockcastle has its primary listings on both the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd and the Johannesburg Stock
Exchange.
